Serious Poop Talk

Really people?! Someone had to actually produce a YouTube video on how to pick up dog poop?! I'm lost for words. Actually, I've been lost for pooch oop pics. Help the poop awareness cause and send your photos to dailydogpoop@gmail.com .

This guy is way too serious, but it is a serious subject. It's just hard to be entertaining while wearing rubber gloves.

Bad Hair Day

Richie from Indianapolis sent us this lovely DDP with a story about how camera shy his pooch is. Well Richie, on top of it being embarassing enough to drop a pooch-oop, having a camera out while doing the deed can't help things. Very lovely Schnauzer you have there Richie.

Keep those pics coming.

Even though it's in your back yard, pic up the pooch-oops promptly. You never know who might get into your yards run-off while watering.

Crying Eyes

Sara from San Diego assured me that her pooch Charlie, was not having as rough of a time as he looked.

I say mix a little soft food into his diet and see if the expression changes a bit.

Off the Beaten Path

It's hard to be responsible sometimes. Take this pooch-oop from Jade here; do you go stomping through the beautiful, delicate ground cover for a recovery mission or leave it for all to enjoy? We at Daily Dog Poop say, leave your temporary footprint, not your dog's.

Thanks Dray for sharing!

The Lone Soldier

Too poop alone; dogs need their privacy. Probably explains the cute face of shame when they're dropping pooch-oop in the presence of their leashed owner. This poochie however, has an owner that respects the privacy of her beloved. I figured I owed the same respect. And yes, the owner followed standard poop awareness protocol.

Too Hot to Poop

How do you stop the poo from being left on the streets? Make it 105 degrees outside! It's been hard to find any pooch-ooping in this Fresno heat, but Sonic and I will be back at the beach tomorrow to uphold our local poop awareness.

Thinking I need to go get him some softer food.

Bags on Board

OK, I know I haven't had any new pics of dogs in pooch-oop form for a while. It's hard to find time to uphold poop awareness when it's over 100 degrees outside. However, I did purchase a new product for the cause. I love poop accessories!

It even came with a matching red zip tie so I can attach it to Sonic's leash!

Awareness with a sign?

Can you believe that these statues/signs were in a thrift store? Maybe there was once a pooping pooch that was trained not to pooch-oop wherever these signs were placed. Maybe someone thought that a statue of a pooping dog on their lawn was better than an actual pooping dog. Maybe poop awareness has already happened in the neighborhood where these signs once stood. All I know is, I'm stopping in Anaheim on my way home to see if they're still there.

Thanks for the pic Jessica from Orange, Ca.

Batter Up!

Sure, there's enough material on youtube and google pics to have a different post every day for 10 years, but that's not what we want. Daily Dog Poop is about helping today's problem with dog poop. How can we do that with pictures of yesterday's pooch-oops? Send us your pictures of your beloved doing his/her daily, along with some info about your area, method of pooch-oop retrieval, and if you want, some names. We will make sure that all posts are tasteful and maintain your pooches dignity.....at least most of it.

The funniest part of this video is how the dog can't look at the pitcher while.....

Poop Awareness in Action

So here's my day: I was invited by two beautiful ladies to enjoy a few drinks on the sand behind our favorite local pub. They both had their dogs, and I was there to hopefully get a pooch-oop shot for today's post. But instead of getting a pooch-oop, we witnessed something even better; poop awareness in action! Read on.

We noticed a lady trying to bury her dog's pooch-oop in the sand. With the conversation of poop awareness fresh in the mind of my friend Rachael, she grabbed a plastic bag, and approached the irresponsible owner. (below)

The conversation was quick, the poo burying mama was embarrassed, but the poo was retrieved! (below)

Some of you may be thinking, "what's the big deal? It's buried in the sand out of toe range." This is why it is a big deal. (below)

Find treasure, not poo!!

Not a Pooch-oop

Of course I know why we're here! To raise poop awareness! To help stop irresponsible people who don't pick up their dog's pooch-oops. But this just couldn't be ignored. Yes, I caught curly taking a leak on someones flip flops. I'm lost for words. Did I stand there and wait for someone to put their flip flops back on? Maybe.

The Magic Poo Collector

Here's why the Poo Trap will never appear on every dog you see in the park; it's embarrassing. Our dogs are our babies. We would never think of covering up their naturals with a custom fitted, disposable poop collector, so we don't have to deal with their poo. That would be weird, right? A diaper for your dog?! Hmmmm......what did we do with the babies before diapers?

The next generation of pooch-oop disposal folks!

Please........

Happy 5th of July! I didn't have a chance to post a 4th of July pooch-oop, however one of Daily Dog Poop's fans sent in this sign from a diner in South Carolina.

I don't think he's sitting.

The Husky

So my approach to owners is this: "Excuse me sir/miss, this is going to sound weird, but has your dog pooped yet?" The first response is no surprise. It's either a chuckle with a "no" or "yes" answer or a just a bewildered look towards me. I follow with the "I'm raising poop awareness" speech, and bingo! I have a new friend. Even if their dog has already made the mustache for the day, the owners still want to talk about their bad poop experiences on the lawn/beach. Some are very boisterous about it; others are a little more civilized. In the cases where they are holding a poo bag, and poochie is expected to lose some weight withing the next few minutes, I walk with them while they vent about poo.

Such was the case with this beautiful Husky. The owner had a heavy East Coast accent along with a "take no crap" East Coast attitude. (Read this with your Bronx accent)"You know the dolla store up da road? They sell dese air horns, right? You should wolk up and down da beach with one of dose effin horns and blow it in da ear of every mutha-effa you see leavin poop on da sand and yell, HEY MUTHA-EFFA, PICK UP YA DOG'S CRAP!" His volume was progressively rising with every word as he got heated up about pooch-oops. Then came the moment. In a calm and friendly voice, he said, "Ah look, dare he goes."

Mail your dog's pooch-oops to dailydogpoop@gmail.com or post them on our face book page.
